Sugar-Free Raspberry Chia Jam

Raspberries chia jam recipe

Who doesn’t like sweets? Today I will share with you, 3-ingredient sugar-free raspberry chia jam! Perfect for topping pancakes, waffles, or enjoying on toast.

Ingredients:

  • 150-200 grams fresh or frozen raspberries

  • 3 tablespoons chia seeds

  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prep the chia seeds: In a small bowl, soak the chia seeds in enough water to cover them by about 1/4 inch. Let them sit for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent clumps.

  2. Cook the raspberries: In a frying pan or small saucepan over medium heat, add the raspberries. Using a potato masher or fork, gently mash the raspberries until they break down into a puree.

  3. Thicken the jam: After a couple of minutes of simmering, add the soaked chia seeds to the raspberry puree. Stir in the honey (if using) and combine everything well.

  4. Simmer and thicken: Continue simmering the jam, stirring occasionally, until the consistency thickens and the excess liquid evaporates. This may take 5-10 minutes depending on the juiciness of your raspberries.

Tips:

  • Adjust the amount of honey to your taste preference. You can also use other natural sweeteners like maple syrup or agave nectar.

  • Let the jam cool completely before storing it in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

This recipe is a delicious and healthy way to enjoy the flavors of summer berries without the added sugar. It's perfect for those looking for a guilt-free treat or a way to boost the nutrition of their breakfast options!
